Love on Both Sides: How Did Tokyo and Isaiah End Up With Nobody? Was This About Love or Just Drama
**Now That's TV | Season 1 Review | The Reality Rundown**
Let me ask y'all something because I'm sitting here scratching my head. How in the world did Tokyo and Isaiah go on *Love on Both Sides* looking for love, and it seems like neither one of them found anybody?
WHAT HAPPENED?
I thought we were watching a dating show. Apparently, somebody forgot to tell the cast!
Instead of watching people build relationships, get to know each other, and possibly fall in love, we got arguments, confusion, social media drama, people threatening to leave, and everybody talking over everybody.
And I'm sitting here thinking, **where is the LOVE?**
## 1. Tokyo and Isaiah: What Went Wrong?
Let's start with Tokyo and Isaiah.
Both were supposed to have opportunities to explore romantic connections. But somewhere along the way, the drama started taking over.
Instead of focusing on finding someone compatible, the conversations seemed to turn into arguments about loyalty, respect, and what somebody said or did.
Now, don't get me wrong. Dating isn't easy. People have disagreements. But how are you supposed to develop feelings for somebody when everybody is constantly arguing?
**My theory? The drama became more important than the dating process.**
And that's a problem when the entire purpose of the show is finding love.
## 2. Tokyo, Why Are We Fighting Over Everything?
Now, Tokyo!
I need somebody to explain something to me.
During the episodes I watched, it seemed like Tokyo was spending more time dealing with arguments and trying to keep people from leaving than actually building a romantic connection.
One woman wanted to leave because of problems with another woman, and Tokyo was trying to convince her to stay.
But wait a minute!
If two women are arguing with each other, and neither one is building a relationship with Tokyo, what exactly are we accomplishing?
Are we looking for love, or are we running a conflict-resolution center?
Because at this point, somebody needs to bring in a referee!
## 3. Isaiah, Where Was the Romance?
Now let's talk about Isaiah.
I wanted to see genuine connections, meaningful conversations, and somebody actually showing romantic interest.
But the fighting and confusion seemed to overshadow everything else.
Where were the romantic dates?
Where were the conversations about relationships, future plans, and compatibility?
Where were those moments when two people looked at each other and realized they might have something special?
Maybe there were connections we didn't get to see because of the editing. But from what was shown, the romance wasn't getting enough attention.
And that makes me wonder whether Isaiah had a real opportunity to find someone who was right for him.
## 4. Social Media Drama Took Over the Show
This is the part that really confused me.
Why were people arguing about things that supposedly happened on social media?
I thought these people were supposed to be getting to know each other romantically.
Instead, we're dealing with outside arguments, personal disagreements, and situations that don't seem to have anything to do with finding a partner.
Somebody said something online. Somebody got upset. Somebody wanted to leave.
And before you know it, everybody is arguing!
Listen, if I wanted to watch people fight about social media, I could open Facebook for free!
**The biggest problem is that the audience never gets enough time to become invested in the relationships.**
## 5. Five Reasons I Think Love Didn't Work Out
Here's my opinion about why Tokyo and Isaiah appeared to walk away without finding lasting love.
1. **Too much fighting.** Arguments kept interrupting opportunities for romantic connections.
2. **Not enough meaningful dates.** We needed more time watching people actually get to know each other.
3. **Outside drama.** Social media disagreements distracted from the purpose of the show.
4. **Poor communication.** People seemed more interested in defending themselves than listening.
5. **Drama overshadowed compatibility.** We learned plenty about the conflicts but not enough about who would make a good romantic partner.
These are my observations, not confirmed explanations from Tokyo or Isaiah about why their relationships didn't work out.
## 6. Did the Show Forget Its Own Purpose?
Here's what bothers me the most.
The title is *Love on Both Sides*.
LOVE!
Not *Fighting on Both Sides*.
Not *Social Media Beef on Both Sides*.
And definitely not *Everybody Mad on Both Sides*!
I understand that Now That's TV is known for explosive reality television. Drama brings viewers, and arguments get people talking.
But when you advertise a dating show, the audience should actually get to see some dating!
Give us romance. Give us chemistry. Give us somebody making a real connection.
Everybody doesn't need to be fighting every five minutes.
## My Final Review: Was Finding Love Even the Priority?
I can't say for certain why Tokyo and Isaiah didn't end up with successful relationships without hearing their explanations and seeing how every connection concluded.
But based on the episodes I've watched, I think the biggest issue was that **the drama overshadowed the possibility of genuine romance.**
I wanted to see two people finding love. Instead, I found myself trying to figure out who was mad at whom and why.
And when the fighting finally stopped, where were the relationships?
I'm not saying the show wasn't entertaining. Some of that mess was absolutely something to watch!
But entertaining television and successful matchmaking are two different things.
**My rating for the romance: 2 out of 10.**
**My rating for the drama: 9 out of 10.**
Because one thing this show certainly delivered was CHAOS!
## Let's Talk About It!
Now I want to hear from everybody watching *Love on Both Sides* on Now That's TV.
- Do you think Tokyo and Isaiah were seriously looking for love?
- Did the fighting ruin their chances of finding someone?
- Was the cast more interested in television exposure than relationships?
- Do you think the producers focused too much on drama?
- Should *Love on Both Sides* return for Season 2 with a different approach?
