Too Good To Go Review: Three Delicious Soul Food Meals for Just $6.99? Now That’s a Deal!

**By Spencer Whitelow | Food Review & Money-Saving Finds**

## Who Says You Have to Spend a Fortune to Eat Good?

Let me tell y'all something! With food prices going up everywhere, finding a good meal at a reasonable price feels like winning the lottery. Well, I recently tried the **Too Good To Go app**, and I must say, I was impressed!

If you haven't heard of Too Good To Go, it's an app that allows restaurants, bakeries, and other food businesses to sell their surplus food at discounted prices instead of letting it go to waste.

And let me tell you, we got some good eating!

## Our Soul Food Experience

We ordered from a soul food restaurant that I believe was called Morris. I'm not completely sure about the name, but I definitely remember the food!

We picked up three meals, and everybody had something different.

**Meal #1: Baked Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese, and Greens**

Now, this is what I call a good old-fashioned soul food dinner!

Baked chicken, creamy macaroni and cheese, and greens? You really can't go wrong with that combination.

Everything tasted good, and I was happy with the meal.

**Meal #2: Pork Chops, Sweet Potatoes, and Macaroni and Cheese**

The second meal came with pork chops, sweet potatoes, and macaroni and cheese.

Now, that's a Sunday dinner right there!

The combination of savory pork chops, sweet potatoes, and macaroni and cheese made this another satisfying meal.

**Meal #3: The Vegetarian Plate**

One person in our group is a vegetarian, so his plate included greens, macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes.

No meat on that plate!

I appreciated that he had something he could enjoy, too. Of course, vegetarians should always check how the greens and other sides are prepared because some soul food restaurants use meat broth or pork for seasoning.

## Wait a Minute! Only $6.99?

Now, here's the part that really got my attention.

**We paid $6.99 for all three meals!**

Yes, you read that correctly!

Three plates of soul food for that price? In this economy?

Some restaurants charge more than that for one side dish!

That's why I love finding deals like this. You can enjoy a good meal without spending your entire grocery budget.

## What About the Restaurant and Customer Service?

Another thing I appreciated was the atmosphere.

The people at the restaurant were happy and pleasant, which made the experience even better.

Sometimes you can get a good deal, but the customer service leaves you wondering whether you should have stayed home.

That wasn't our experience.

The food was good, the people were friendly, and we left satisfied.

## Is Too Good To Go Worth Trying?

Based on my experience, absolutely!

However, there are a few things you should know.

Too Good To Go meals are often sold as surprise bags, which means you might not know exactly what you're getting until you pick up your order.

Restaurants also have different pickup times, portions, and available meals.

But that's part of the adventure!

If you're flexible about what you eat and enjoy discovering restaurants, this app might help you save money while reducing food waste.

## My Final Review: Would I Do It Again?

**My Rating: 5 Out of 5 Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐**

I enjoyed the food, the price was excellent, and the restaurant staff made us feel welcome.

What more could I ask for?

With everything getting so expensive, it's refreshing to find a way to enjoy restaurant food without breaking the bank.

And yes, **I would definitely use Too Good To Go again!**

I might even try another restaurant next time just to see what surprises are waiting.

## Let's Talk About It!

Have you ever used the Too Good To Go app?

Would you try a surprise meal from a restaurant if the price was right?

And here's the big question: **Would you pay $6.99 for three soul food meals?**

Drop your thoughts in the comments! Tell me about your best restaurant bargain, because I'm always looking for another good deal.

**Good food, friendly people, and money left in my pocket? That's my kind of dining experience!**

I kept the restaurant name as Morris with a note that you're not completely sure. I also used the $6.99 total you gave me, rather than assuming it was the price per meal.
