Here we go again! Just when you thought the drama between Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard Bassett was over, somebody decided to open their mouth and bring up old business!

Now, Gizelle, what are you talking about?

According to reports, Gizelle claimed that Candiace was fired from *The Real Housewives of Potomac*. But hold on! Candiace announced back in March 2024 that she was leaving the show after six seasons.

So where is Gizelle getting this information?

Because I'm sitting here trying to figure out whether we are discussing facts, gossip, or somebody's personal opinion!

## Candiace Said She Was Leaving!

Let's get something straight.

Candiace Dillard Bassett announced that she was stepping away from RHOP before Season 9. She talked about taking a break and pursuing other opportunities.

Now, whether you liked Candiace or couldn't stand her, that woman gave us some memorable television!

She argued, she cried, she sang, and she certainly knew how to deliver a comeback.

Candiace could turn a simple dinner conversation into a three-part reunion special!

But when she announced her departure, she made it clear that she was moving on.

There has been no public confirmation from Bravo that she was fired.

So why is Gizelle telling a different story?

When did you become the hiring and firing manager at Bravo?

Did Andy Cohen give you an office?

Do you have access to everybody's employment records?

Are you sitting in production meetings deciding who gets another season?

Because the way you're talking, somebody would think you were signing the contracts!

Now, I'm not saying Gizelle doesn't know something behind the scenes. She has been on RHOP for years and certainly knows people involved with the show.

But knowing people and having proof are two different things.

If you have evidence that Candiace was fired, bring it to the reunion table!

Otherwise, we are just listening to another round of Housewives gossip.

## Why Can't Gizelle Leave Candiace Alone?

This is what really gets me.

Candiace hasn't been a regular cast member since Season 8, yet somehow her name keeps finding its way back into the conversation.

Gizelle and Candiace had plenty of disagreements during their time together.

We remember the arguments, the accusations, the reunion drama, and those uncomfortable moments when nobody wanted to take responsibility for anything.

But at some point, enough is enough!

Candiace has moved on with her life.

Why are we still debating whether she quit or got fired?

It's giving somebody who missed the last CTA bus and decided to stand at the stop arguing with the schedule!

Here's my opinion.

Sometimes Housewives spend so much time discussing former cast members that they forget to create interesting storylines of their own.

And that's where I have a problem.

I don't want to spend an entire season hearing about somebody who isn't even holding a champagne flute in the opening credits anymore!

Give me relationships!

Give me friendships!

Give me actual drama!

Give me something worth discussing!

Instead, we're back to debating Candiace's departure.

And let's be clear: Candiace leaving voluntarily and Candiace being fired are two completely different situations.

Until Bravo confirms otherwise, Gizelle's reported claim is not established fact.

## Candiace Was Good Television Whether You Liked Her or Not

One thing I will say about Candiace: she knew how to get people talking.

You might not have agreed with everything she said.

You might have thought she went too far during certain arguments.

But she brought personality to the show.

Her confessionals could be hilarious, her arguments were dramatic, and her emotional moments made people pay attention.

That's reality television!

You don't have to love every Housewife to recognize what she contributed.

And whether Candiace returns to Potomac someday is entirely up to her and Bravo.

## My Final Thoughts: Gizelle, Please!

Gizelle Bryant, I need you to explain something.

Why are you so concerned about whether Candiace was fired?

If she left, she left!

If you believe something else happened behind the scenes, show us the receipts.
