EJ Johnson vs. Rihanna?! Paris Fashion Week Just Got Messy, Honey! π☕π₯
Chileeeee! Somebody bring me a chair, a little snack, and a fully charged phone because EJ Johnson has entered the chat, and apparently Paris Fashion Week wasn't giving enough fashion, so somebody had to bring a little MESS too.
And when I say mess, I mean the kind where nobody technically says they're beefing, nobody officially announces a feud, but social media takes two comments, three videos and one perfectly timed word and turns the whole thing into the season finale of a reality show.
Because somehow we have gone from Dior at Paris Fashion Week to EJ Johnson talking about Rihanna allegedly holding up the show, and then Rihanna popping into the conversation with one little word.
"Damn."
BABY.
Not a paragraph.
Not a press release.
Not an Instagram Live.
Just enough to make the internet put on its detective hat.
So what exactly happened? And why does this story feel like an episode of Rich Kids of Beverly Hills that accidentally wandered into The Real Housewives of Paris Fashion Week?
Let's get into it.
EJ Johnson Was in Paris Living the Fashion Life
First, EJ Johnson being at Paris Fashion Week makes perfect sense.
Fashion has always been part of EJ's public persona. EJ doesn't just walk into a room wearing clothes. EJ gives you a LOOK.
And EJ has opinions.
Earlier this year, EJ dragged the 2026 Met Gala fashion and basically let everybody know they were not impressed with what was walking down that carpet.
EJ called out what they considered disappointing looks and made it clear that being famous doesn't automatically mean you're serving fashion.
Now fast-forward to Paris Fashion Week.
EJ attended Dior's Spring/Summer 2027 show on September 29.
Sounds glamorous, right?
Champagne.
Couture.
Celebrities.
Photographers.
People pretending they aren't looking at each other's outfits while absolutely looking at each other's outfits.
Then EJ got online afterward and gave their review.
EJ said the show itself was beautiful.
Okay! We love positivity.
But then came the seasoning.
According to EJ, the show started about an hour late because Rihanna was late.
And EJ essentially made it clear that they weren't particularly interested in waiting around for Miss Fenty.
OOOOOOOH.
Now, EJ!
You can say the chairs were uncomfortable.
You can say your feet hurt.
You can say Paris traffic was acting crazy.
But once you put Rihanna's name into the conversation?
You have officially opened the gates of social-media hell.
Because Rihanna's Navy does not play.
EJ Said What EJ Said
Here's where I actually appreciate EJ.
Whether you agree with the delivery or not, EJ has never really built their personality around pretending not to have opinions.
EJ gives commentary.
And according to EJ's version of events, they were sitting there waiting for a fashion show that was supposed to start earlier.
If you've been waiting an hour, you might be irritated too.
But saying it publicly is another story.
Because there is a huge difference between whispering to your friend:
"Baby, why are we still sitting here?"
and posting:
"We were waiting because Rihanna was late."
One is complaining.
The other is CONTENT.
And EJ knows content.
That Rich Kids of Beverly Hills training never really leaves you.
Then Came the Hotel Video
Now this is where the story gets messier.
A separate video started circulating showing EJ outside a Paris hotel.
EJ had been posing for photographers and then appeared to have trouble getting back inside when someone at the entrance blocked access.
Now let me be clear:
We don't know everything happening behind the scenes in that clip.
A short social-media video doesn't necessarily give us the whole story.
But the internet?
The internet doesn't need context.
The internet needs approximately seven seconds of footage and a dream.
People immediately started talking.
And then Rihanna apparently saw the clip.
Her response?
"Damn."
That's it.
One word.
And somehow that one word managed to walk into the room wearing a fur coat, sunglasses and six-inch heels.
"Damn."
Rihanna didn't write:
"This is because you talked about me."
She didn't officially declare war on EJ.
Neither Rihanna nor EJ has confirmed that Rihanna's comment was actually intended as retaliation for the Dior remarks.
But you already KNOW how social media operates.
People immediately connected the dots.
EJ talked about Rihanna.
EJ's hotel video surfaced.
Rihanna commented.
And the internet screamed:
BEEF!
Rihanna Knows How to Do More With Less
This is where Rihanna is dangerous.
Some celebrities will give you a seven-page Notes app statement.
Rihanna?
One word.
"Damn."
Girl!
That is the kind of response that makes somebody stare at their phone for twenty minutes wondering:
"What exactly did she mean by that?"
That's shade with plausible deniability.
Maybe Rihanna simply thought the video was unfortunate.
Maybe she was laughing.
Maybe she was surprised.
Maybe it had absolutely nothing to do with EJ's previous comments.
Or maybe Miss Fenty remembered EXACTLY what EJ said.
We don't know.
And honestly?
That's what makes it fun.
The mystery is better than an explanation.
But EJ Is Not Some Random Internet Troll
And here's another thing people need to remember.
EJ Johnson isn't somebody who created a burner account yesterday just to drag Rihanna.
EJ has been in celebrity circles for years.
This is Magic Johnson and Cookie Johnson's child.
EJ became widely known through Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, the E! reality show that also included Dorothy Wang, Morgan Stewart and other wealthy young socialites.
So EJ understands celebrity culture.
EJ understands cameras.
EJ understands fashion.
And EJ definitely understands what happens when you say something spicy online.
Which is why I'm not buying the idea that EJ accidentally stumbled into this conversation.
EJ knew Rihanna's name was going to get attention.
Maybe not THIS much attention.
But attention?
Absolutely.
Remember the Rich Kids Era?
Can we talk about Rich Kids of Beverly Hills for a minute?
Because I miss television when people could simply be rich, ridiculous and petty.
We didn't need everybody flipping tables.
We didn't need twelve security guards running into the scene.
Sometimes I just want somebody upset because their luxury vacation didn't have the right champagne.
Give me THAT foolishness.
Dorothy Wang and EJ Johnson were part of an era where rich-kid reality television understood the assignment.
The fashion.
The restaurants.
The parties.
The friendship drama.
The Beverly Hills nonsense.
And years later, these people are STILL giving us something to discuss.
Dorothy has moved into a completely different chapter of life.
She married Brandon Yankowitz in Florence, Italy, in October 2025, and on October 1, 2026, Dorothy announced that they're expecting their first child.
Congratulations to Dorothy!
Meanwhile, EJ is over in Paris apparently clocking fashion-show start times.
The evolution!
One friend is preparing for motherhood.
The other is at Dior saying:
"Excuse me, wasn't this supposed to start an hour ago?"
Life comes at you fast.
And About Dorothy's Wedding...
There's another interesting connection here.
Dorothy previously explained why her former Rich Kids of Beverly Hills castmates weren't at her wedding.
According to Dorothy, she wanted people there who were genuinely connected to her and Brandon and actively involved in their lives.
She essentially said the wedding made her think about who she really wanted around her.
So the old Rich Kids gang may not be as close today as viewers remember them being on television.
And honestly?
That's life.
Some friendships are for a season.
Some friendships are for twenty years.
And some friendships are apparently for four seasons on E! and a reunion special.
No shade!
Okay... maybe a LITTLE shade.
EJ Has Changed Too
Something else deserves attention beyond the jokes.
EJ has been very open in 2026 about identity, gender expression and living authentically.
In a March interview discussed by theGrio, EJ explained that they no longer identify with the old labels people placed on them and use they/them pronouns. EJ also spoke about refusing to live according to other people's expectations.
And I respect that.
Because EJ has been judged for YEARS.
People have talked about their clothes.
Their body.
Their femininity.
Their sexuality.
Their family.
Everything.
And imagine growing up as Magic Johnson's child while strangers constantly tell you who they think you're supposed to become.
People wanted EJ to fit into some masculine basketball-family box.
EJ said, basically:
That ain't me.
And kept moving.
There is something powerful about that.
You don't have to understand somebody else's journey to respect their right to live it.
But Baby... Rihanna Is Rihanna
Now back to the mess.
Because while I understand EJ being annoyed about waiting...
You said Rihanna was late.
RIHANNA.
There are certain celebrities where the room operates differently when they arrive.
BeyoncΓ©.
Diana Ross.
Madonna.
Naomi Campbell.
Rihanna.
You may not like it.
You may think everybody should arrive exactly on time.
Fair enough.
But when Rihanna is expected at a major fashion show, people are going to notice when she enters.
And let's not pretend the photographers aren't waiting for that arrival too.
Fashion Week is about clothing, yes.
But modern Fashion Week is also about celebrity.
It's publicity.
It's social media.
It's spectacle.
It's business.
And Rihanna walking into Dior is going to generate headlines around the world.
So if you're EJ sitting there thinking:
"Can we START?"
I understand.
But Dior may be thinking:
"Baby, Rihanna hasn't walked through that door yet."
Two completely different priorities.
Was Rihanna Actually Shading EJ?
This is the million-dollar question.
Maybe.
But we cannot say for certain.
Entertainment outlets are describing Rihanna's reaction as a seeming or apparent response because the timing is suspicious, but neither person has publicly confirmed that interpretation.
And that's important.
Because gossip is fun.
Making things up isn't.
So we're going to enjoy our tea responsibly.
But I will say this:
If Rihanna's "Damn" really WAS shade?
That was some efficient shade.
One word.
No wasted characters.
Environmentally friendly shade.
Recyclable.
Sustainable.
Carbon-neutral pettiness.
I approve.
EJ Should Bring This Energy Back to Reality TV
Now here's MY question.
Why isn't EJ back on reality television?
Because reality TV needs personalities.
We have too many people joining shows who spend an entire season worrying about their brand.
Everybody is media-trained.
Everybody wants to sell skincare.
Everybody is scared of getting canceled.
Baby, give me somebody who will leave Dior and immediately tell the internet:
"The show was beautiful, but Rihanna had us waiting."
THAT is reality television energy.
Could you imagine EJ on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
One dinner.
That's all I need.
ONE.
DINNER.
Somebody would say:
"I heard you were talking about me."
EJ would slowly sip the champagne.
"Well... I was."
ROLL CREDITS.
EJ and Rihanna Don't Need a Full-Blown Feud
I actually hope this doesn't turn into some nasty celebrity war.
It doesn't need to.
This is funny exactly where it is.
EJ complained.
Rihanna apparently saw a video.
Rihanna said "Damn."
The internet lost its mind.
Perfect.
That's enough.
Everybody go home.
No diss records required.
No unfollow investigation.
No twelve-part TikTok explanation.
No publicist statement saying:
"Contrary to recent reports..."
Please.
Leave the mess cute.
Final Thoughts: EJ Johnson Still Knows How to Get People Talking
Say whatever you want about EJ Johnson, but EJ still knows how to become part of the conversation.
Years after Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, EJ doesn't need a weekly reality show to create a moment.
Fashion Week.
One opinion.
One superstar.
One viral hotel clip.
One Rihanna comment.
Boom.
Blog post.
And I have to admit, this whole situation made me remember why EJ was entertaining on television in the first place.
EJ has personality.
EJ has opinions.
EJ has fashion.
And EJ is willing to say something besides:
"Everybody looked amazing!"
NO THEY DIDN'T.
And EJ will apparently tell you.
As for Rihanna?
Miss Fenty continues to prove you don't need 500 words when ONE will do.
"Damn."
I am still laughing.
YOUR TURN π
Was EJ Johnson wrong for calling out Rihanna for allegedly being late to the Dior show?
Or if you're sitting around waiting an hour, do you have every right to say something?
And what did you think Rihanna meant by that one-word comment?
Was it innocent?
Was it shade?
Or was Rihanna sitting somewhere laughing while the internet created an entire feud for her?
And one more question:
Would you watch EJ Johnson on reality TV again?
Because I would absolutely tune in.
Drop your thoughts in the comments, share this post with your reality-TV group chat, and come back for more celebrity news, fashion mess, reality-TV reviews and the kind of pop-culture foolishness we LOVE to discuss.
Because around here, honey...
If there's tea, we're pouring it. ☕π₯
